Caden-X leads the newly formed Titan Repair Corps — the crew racing into a dead cluster aboard the experimental IES Meridian to rescue the trapped Pythagorean and repair the Grid before more inhabited systems collapse. He is young, scarred, says almost nothing, and lost an entire homeworld to a Grid failure once already.

Koda and Bloop join him for this one, an unlikely pairing of patience and precision, and together they move against a clock that never stops running. The Corps rescues Zogo, Lyra-7 and Vela and restores two failing nodes. At the third, Caden finds a perfect dismantling pattern belonging to Morrax — the friend he thought had disappeared with their world.
